Вы послушали подкаст N°405 о чёрных дырах? Там много новой лексики, связанной с наукой и космосом, правда? Трудно сразу запомнить её, даже послушав подкаст несколько раз (полную транскрипцию можно прочитать в Клубе Дача). Поэтому я предлагаю вам упражнение на перевод, чтобы закрепить грамматику, лексику и синтаксис. Переведите эти фразы с английского (или французского) языка на русский, а потом посмотрите ответы ниже.
Have you listened to podcast N°405 about black holes? There’s a lot of new vocabulary related to science and space, right? It’s difficult to remember it right away, even after listening to the podcast several times (the full transcription can be read at the Dacha Club). Therefore, I offer you a translation exercise to reinforce grammar, vocabulary and syntax. Translate these phrases from English (or French) into Russian, and then look at the answers below.
1. A black hole is a mysterious object in the Universe.
2. The ozone hole is a hole in our atmosphere.
3. A large planet will have strong attraction/gravity.
4. The Earth revolves around the Sun. And the Moon revolves around the Earth.
5. An equation is a mathematical formula.
6. According to Einstein’s theory, we have time and space.
7. How do black holes appear? Scientists say that these are old stars.
8. The closest black hole to us is only 1500 light years away.
9. We can’t see a black hole. But we can look at the space around it.
10. There is also a black hole in the center of our galaxy. It’s called “Sagittarius A”.
11. The area/space around a black hole is called the “event horizon”.
12. A black hole sucks everything into itself.
13. “White holes” exist as well.
14. White hole repels matter.
15. When two black holes meet, they merge or repel each other.

2. Le trou dans la couche d’ozone est un trou dans notre atmosphère.
3. Une grande planète aura une forte attraction/gravité.
4. La Terre tourne autour du Soleil. Et la Lune tourne autour de la Terre.
5. Une équation est une formule mathématique.
6. Selon la théorie d’Einstein, nous avons le temps et l’espace.
7. Comment apparaissent les trous noirs ? Les scientifiques disent que ce sont de vieilles étoiles.
8. Le trou noir le plus proche de nous se trouve à seulement 1 500 années-lumière.
9. Nous ne pouvons pas voir le trou noir. Mais nous pouvons regarder l’espace qui l’entoure.
10. Il y a aussi un trou noir au centre de notre galaxie. Il s’appelle “Sagittaire A”.
11. La zone/l’espace autour d’un trou noir est appelé « l’horizon des événements ».
12. Un trou noir aspire tout en lui-même.
13. Il existe également des « trous blancs ».
14. Un trou blanc repousse la matière.
15. Lorsque deux trous noirs se rencontrent, ils fusionnent ou se repoussent.
