Метро – важная часть жизни москвичей. Оно не только очень красивое, но и эффективное. Например, в этом году метро ходило в Москве всю новогоднюю ночь.
В отличие от других стран, в России вы не можете увидеть, через какое время придёт следующий поезд. Зато в московском метро специальные табло над тоннелем показывают вам время с момента прохода последнего поезда.
Moscow metro occupies an important part in the life of Muscovites. It’s not only very beautiful, but also very effective. For example, this year Moscow Metro run all the New Year night.
Unlike in other countries, in Russia you can’t see the time remaining until the next train. But in Moscow metro, special tables above the tunnel show you the time since the last train.
Когда поезд подъехал, сначала обязательно выпустите из вагона других пассажиров. Часто для выходящих остаётся не очень много места, но сначала выпустить других – это минимальная вежливость москвича.
В московском метро всё нужно делать быстро. В час пик народу в нём очень много, поэтому очень важно не задерживать других пассажиров. Когда вы покупаете билет, приготовьте деньги заранее. Купив билет, быстро возьмите его и сразу отойдите от кассы, чтобы следующий покупатель мог подойти. То же самое касается захода в вагон. Заходить в вагон московского метро также лучше как можно быстрее, тем более, что времени на вход не так много.
When the train arrives, it’s very important to let other people get off first. Very often exiting people don’t have much space, but letting them leave the train first is a polite thing to do.
In Moscow metro, everything should be done quickly. During rush hours it’s crowded with people, that’s why it’s very important not to retain other passengers. When you buy a ticket, please prepare money in advance. After you’ve bought the ticket, take it quickly and step aside to let the next customer approach. The same thing when entering the train. It’s important to enter the train quickly, because the time for entering is very short.
К выходу из вагона москвичи обычно готовятся заранее. Если вы не успели встать около двери, есть риск, что поток людей, входящих в вагон, не позволит вам выйти из него. Поэтому вам нужно встать в очередь на выход. Если вы не уверены, что человек перед вами выходит, вы можете спросить: Вы выходите?
В России есть несколько групп людей, которым нужно уступать место. На Западе часто можно увидеть молодых людей, которые и не подумают уступить место пожилому человеку. В московском метро бабушка – это святое. Если недалеко от вас стоит пожилой человек (а в России пожилым ещё считается человек больше 60 лет), ему нужно обязательно уступить место. Место также уступают беременным женщинам, пассажирам с детьми, и, конечно, инвалидам.
Muscovites usually get ready for getting off the train in advance. If you didn’t have time to take your place next to the door, there is a risk that the crowd entering the train won’t let you get off. That’s why it’s important to queue for the exit. If you are not sure the person in front of you is going to get off, you can ask: Are you getting off?
In Russia, there are several groups of people you have to offer your seat to. In the West, you can often see young people sitting there, not even thinking about offering the seat to an elderly person. In Moscow metro babushka is a sacred person. If there is an elderly person standing next to you (and in Russia 60 years old is considered elderly) you have to offer your seat. It is usual to offer seats to pregnant women, passengers with children and, of course, disabled people.
Метро – это не только транспорт, но и место встречи. Москвичи часто назначают друг другу встречи в метро, ведь там всегда тепло! Назначая встречу в метро, важно уточнить, на какой конкретно ветке вы встречаетесь. Встреча обычно происходит в центре зала.
Если вы едете к человеку в первый раз, вам могут дать информацию о том, в какой вагон лучше сесть, чтобы потом удобно выйти из метро. Например, вам могут сказать: выход из последнего вагона. Это значит, что выход, который вам нужен, будет находиться со стороны последнего вагона.
И наконец, на эскалаторе принято вставать с правой стороны. Москвичи всё время торопятся, поэтому важно оставить место на эскалаторе для тех, кто поднимается или спускается по нему.
Metro isn’t just a transport, but also a place for meetings. Muscovites often meet in the Metro, it’s always so warm! When agreeing on an appointment, it’s important to point out which line your meeting at. Meetings usually take place in the center of the station.
When you are visiting somebody for the first time, it’s possible that you will be given the information about which carriage to go to in order to better exit. For example, they can tell you to exit from the last carriage. It means that the exit you need will be situated not far from the last carriage.
At last, people usually stand on the right side of the escalator. Muscovites are always in the hurry, that’s why it’s important to leave some space on the escalator for those who go up or down.
